The South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD), located in Diamond Bar, is seeking exceptional and motivated environmental professionals to work in the CEQA unit. We are asking for your help in spreading the word. The work we do is critical to the health and well-being of over 17 million people living in four Southern California counties, and our CEQA staff play an important role in the success of our mission.
An open recruitment is currently underway to create an eligible list from which we expect to fill two vacancies in the CEQA/Intergovernmental Review (IGR) unit and one vacancy in the CEQA/Rules unit of Planning, Rule Development, and Area Sources. The list established may also be used to fill other vacancies at these levels should they occur during the life of the list.
They are looking for people with working knowledge of CEQA Guidelines and experience in modeling analysis and programs, including but not limited to, AERMOD and CalEEMod for the Air Quality Specialist position. No experience is needed, however, for the Assistant Air Quality Specialist position.
The salary range is $5,718.67 – $8,357.30 monthly, plus a generous benefits package, a defined benefit retirement plan, and 4/10 work schedule!
